Roma Announces José Mourinho Leaving the Club

The Italian club Roma announced, on Tuesday, the departure of its technical staff, led by Portuguese Jose Mourinho, after the team’s poor results in various competitions of the current season 2023/24.
The Roma club issued an official statement announcing the departure of the 60-year-old coach and his coaching staff, with the identity of the new coach being revealed at a later time.
The club expressed its thanks to Mourinho, as he wrote through his account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “Thank you for everything, on behalf of everyone in Roma.”
Jose Mourinho spent nearly two and a half years coaching the Italian club, assuming his duties in May 2021.
Under the leadership of Mourinho, Roma won the 2022 Conference League title and succeeded in reaching the Europa League final last season.
In the current season, Roma is in ninth place on the Italian League standings, with 29 points, after winning 8 matches, compared to 7 defeats, and drawing 5.
