Manchester City achieved a major victory over its host Fulham, 4-0, in the match that brought them together on Saturday, at the “Craven Cottage” stadium in the opening matches of the 37th round of the English Premier League Championship. City finished the first half ahead with a goal scored by Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol in the 13th minute of the match. After a wonderful individual effort, Manchester made an emergency substitution in the 22nd minute, with injured Dutch defender Nathan Ake leaving, and Kyle Walker came in his place, succeeding in scoring two goals through Phil Foden and Josco Gvardiol, in the 59th and 71st minutes of the match, and Julian Alvarez completed City’s quadruple in the seventh minute of time instead of stoppage time, via a penalty kick, as a result of which Fulham defender Diop was sent off, after receiving the second yellow card. Manchester City temporarily topped the table with 85 points, two points ahead of runner-up Arsenal with 83, before facing it on Sunday evening against its host Manchester United, while Fulham’s balance stopped at 44 points in thirteenth place.
