Accusation of treason…new scenes in the dispute between Laporta and Xavi

An unknown person played a role in igniting the dispute between Joan Laporta, Barcelona president, and coach Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi had announced his departure from Barcelona, before retracting his position and agreeing with club president Joan Laporta to continue, but Xavi’s recent statements about the team’s inability to compete with Real Madrid and the rest of the major European clubs, due to the club’s economic conditions, angered Laporta, who is thinking about rescinding his agreement with the coach.
Laporta will hold a meeting with Xavi to determine his future, most likely Monday. This meeting will be attended by Laporta and Xavi, in addition to sporting director Deco, and Alejandro Echevarria, a member of the board of directors. There is a person whom Laporta trusts, who ignited the president’s anger against Xavi, and made him think of the coach’s recent statements as a betrayal.
Sources reported that Xavi stated in his contract renewal meeting last month that Barcelona is capable, according to the current squad and without any reinforcements of achieving great things next season, which is completely contradictory to the statements of the coach in question.
