War conditions changed the careers of many in the media. Journalist Al-Amin Ali Hassan commented on a photo of the journalist Muhammad Khair Al-Faki, saying, “The studios of Al-Eqtisadiah Radio brought us together. We worked together in presenting the morning program. He was the best friend, helper, and supporter. Along with his work in Al-Eqtisadiah, he worked on Al-Shorouk TV, a man who knows nothing but humor, jest, jokes, and spontaneity. We left the Economy Department and our paths separated before our paths diverged in Sudan itself, until I found his picture today establishing a bean shop, seeking a lawful income.”
