Hope Award at the Amman Festival

Within the framework of the fifth session of the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film, and at the end of the world premiere of the “From Distance Zero” series, six awards were presented under the title “Hope Award” to participating films by the jury composed of director Yousry Nasrallah, producer Dorra Bouchoucha, and one of the major supporters of the film. It is noteworthy that “From Distance Zero” is an anthology of 22 short films that were filmed during the past few months amid the war on Gaza under the supervision of Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi.
The winning films are “The Professor” by director Tamer Negm – an award presented by the Ghayath Foundation, Nadia Sukhtian “24 Hours” by director Alaa Damo – an award presented by the Ghiath Foundation, and Nadia Sukhtian “Hell’s Paradise” by director Karim Satom – an award presented by the General Union of Arab Artists. “Recycling” by director Rabab Khamis, an award presented by Co-Origin Productions, “Echo” by director Mustafa Collage – an award presented by Jordan Pioneer – Khaled Haddad, “Soft Skin” by director Khamis Masharawi – an award presented by Thomas Iman.
