Twenty people were killed and others wounded in varying degrees after an attack by RSF forces on Tuesday on the village of Al-Damokia, east of Khur Taqat, in Sheikan locality, rural Al-Obeid, in North Kordofan state.
An eyewitness from Al-Damokia village told “Sudan Tribune” that RSF forces attacked the village on Monday evening using 30 motorcycles.
The attack resulted in the death of 20 people and the injury of 22 others, including elderly people and children, who were taken to Al-Obeid Hospital for treatment.
The eyewitness added that RSF forces have been attacking villages surrounding Al-Obeid in recent weeks, and some villages have resorted to forming local defense groups to protect themselves from raids aimed primarily at looting livestock and vehicles.
