Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Wednesday, for the third consecutive day, the RSF militia continued its retaliatory campaigns against villages and towns in Eastern Al-Jazira, leaving many dead and displacing thousands.
The Resistance Committees of Rufaa stated in a statement that “the RSF militia continued its assault on the locality, attacking several villages on Wednesday and committing numerous crimes, including killing and forced displacement.”
They pointed out that the RSF attacked the village of Safita Ghnomab, killing at least 13 people and forcing the residents to flee.
They further noted that the RSF continued firing artillery shells at the villages of Al-Suqiya and Safita in an attempt to storm both villages.
The statement warned of a potential massacre against the residents of these villages as the militia gathers large numbers of its forces.
It also mentioned the displacement of residents from the villages of Al-Aziba, Al-Areibab, and Al-Hubayka Al-Nagar, as well as the continued exodus from the city of Rufaa, with people heading east towards the villages of Bant and nearby areas.
