The Gezira Conference reported on Saturday that it had documented 37 cases of rape in Rufaa and surrounding villages in the Gezira State over the past five days.
Mahmoud, the Secretary-General of the Gezira Conference, told “Sudan Tribune” that 37 cases were recorded, including three incidents involving hospital staff at Rufaa Hospital, with the remaining cases affecting women and girls in Rufaa and surrounding areas.
He revealed that a young girl was abducted by RSF members in Tamboul, and her family is now searching for her in nearby villages.
The legal committee of the Gezira Conference filed complaints with the Attorney General in September about human rights violations, including rape, abduction, detention, and forced displacement.
