Economic expert Osama Al-Suhaili stressed the need for effective developmental economic management capable of lifting the country from poverty, deprivation, and severe need.
During an intervention in the “Food and Development Forum” group on Facebook, he highlighted the importance of setting priorities and having a correct, accurate, and sustainable database that provides decision-makers with the best options and choices for projects and activities in the relevant geographical area, based on an objective analysis of the data. He also emphasized the importance of balancing comparative advantages, production costs, availability of production inputs, and skilled labor for the production process, which is one of the pillars of responsible developmental economics based on a strict scientific methodology that ensures the best practices and outcomes from research and studies.
Moreover, he advocated for a decentralized sectoral developmental economy that maximizes efforts, resources, and capabilities to yield practical results that contribute to the economy, address distortions, and reshape productive communities in a way that creates a sustainable production and development environment.
