Verona Coach Demands Maximum Effort to Beat Inter
Paolo Zanetti, head coach of Verona, has called on his players to deliver their best performance against Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A.
The defending Serie A champions will travel to Verona on Saturday, looking to return to winning ways after a 1–1 draw with league leaders Napoli before the international break.
Speaking about the match, Zanetti said, “Of course, we need to be the best version of Verona. The team regrouped yesterday, and we understand that the break has taken away one of our key strengths.”
He added, “Unfortunately, we’ll be without our player Duda for this game. We have one final training session, and we’ll see what happens. Still, this is a home game, and we need to put in a big performance.”
Verona currently has 12 points from 12 matches, with just four wins this season. Their last victory was against Roma in November, secured by Abdo Harroui’s late strike for a 3–2 result.
Zanetti explained, “Against Inter Milan, everything needs to be perfect if we’re to take all three points.”
He continued, “When we get a chance, we have to capitalize on it fully. More importantly, we need to approach the game with balance and the right mindset.”
