Arteta Praises Gabriel Jesus and Urges Him to Keep Scoring
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus to maintain his outstanding form and lead the team’s resurgence. Arteta’s comments come after Jesus scored twice in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Crystal Palace.
According to the British Press Agency, Jesus’ brace came just three days after he netted a hat-trick against the same opponent in the League Cup, helping Arsenal reach the semi-finals.
Arteta expressed confidence in the 27-year-old striker, whose recent performances have turned doubts about his future at Arsenal into optimism.
When asked if this marked a turning point for Jesus, Arteta said: “It must be. We have to push him forward, let him go, and fully support him.”
He added: “He’s been through some tough times. Being a striker isn’t easy, as all eyes are on you. But this period has worked in his favor. He returned this summer as a completely different player, and now he’s being rewarded for his efforts.”
Arsenal are third in the Premier League standings with 33 points, six behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand, and one point behind second-placed Chelsea.
