Sudanese Embassy in Paris: We Welcome UNESCO’s Statement, and the Army Will Spare No Effort in Protecting Citizens

Sudan Events – Reports
The Sudanese Embassy in France welcomed UNESCO’s statement, which documented the deaths of 68 journalists and media workers while performing their duties in 2024, including 3 Sudanese journalists.
The Sudanese Embassy in France clarified in a statement that the number of Sudanese journalists killed by the Rapid Support Forces since the outbreak of the current war has reached 15, not just 3.
The statement added, “The international community has documented the crimes committed by the militia, which were supported directly by known regional parties.” It continued, “In our view, the assassinations of journalists and media workers and the repeated attacks with such hatred on Sudanese citizens and national institutions will only stop with the full condemnation of the international community for these crimes and pressure on the militia and the countries supporting it to stop the atrocities committed against the Sudanese people.”
The statement emphasized that the Armed Forces will spare no effort in defending the country, protecting citizens, and decisively confronting these terrorist militias and mercenaries crossing borders who are fighting alongside them to end the war and restore security and stability in the country.
