Council of Ministers Reaffirms Coordination with South Sudan Government to Address Issues Affecting Bilateral Relations

The Council of Ministers held an urgent session on Saturday, chaired by Osman Hussein Osman, the Minister of the Cabinet Affairs in charge of the Prime Minister’s duties, to discuss the developments of internal and external events.

The council praised the victories of the Armed Forces, joint forces, other security forces, and the resistance, and reiterated its continuous support for them. The council also expressed condolences for the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.

The council commended the Sudanese people’s alignment with their armed forces and leadership, condemning the U.S. Treasury sanctions on the Head of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, describing it as an attempt to undermine the victory march, reaffirming the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement on the matter.

The council emphasized its commitment to ensuring justice through legal measures to secure rights through legal channels.

It also highlighted the strong and enduring relations between Sudan and South Sudan, pointing to the state’s efforts to enhance bilateral relations to achieve mutual interests.

The Council of Ministers affirmed its coordination and communication with the South Sudanese government to address any issues affecting the relationship between the two brotherly countries.

Additionally, the council condemned the militia’s targeting of vital and service-related facilities, stressing that these actions represent an assault on citizens by hitting public service facilities. It also condemned the militia’s continued violations of international laws and norms and emphasized its commitment to improving services and alleviating the suffering of citizens.
