In Memory of the Departed… the Non-Resident!

Dr. Mazmel Abu Al-Qasim

  • The late (Taqaddum) is sufficiently condemned by her opposition to the army, her support for the militia, her estrangement from the people and the nation, her isolation from both, and her embrace of the foreigner. She was unable to organize any event or hold any meeting within Sudan’s borders since her birth until the moment of her death or execution by her own children (to be precise), and she has gone to the dustbin of history, unmissed. We also did not witness any visits by her leaders to the Sudanese cities that hosted millions of displaced people, nor any efforts to support the millions of Sudanese living in exile, even in countries that hosted the leaders of (Taqaddum) themselves.
  • It is clear that the leaders of (Taqaddum) were determined to stay as far away as possible from their citizens in all those countries. Every event organized by Taqaddum saw massive demonstrations against it and chants condemning it (London, Paris, Geneva, for example). The resentment of Sudanese expatriates against them reached the point of attempts to assault their leaders, smuggling them through back doors, and using the police to rescue them from the wrath of the demonstrators. Have you ever seen in Sudan’s history a political group that faced such rejection, anger, and hatred from the Sudanese people as Taqaddum?
  • Is there any doubt that this failed journey, this dark history, and this bitter harvest were proportional to what the hands of Taqaddum and its leaders have done? And was it not predictable due to their disgraceful stance with the militia, their declared and shameful opposition to the army and the people?
  • The lost cause was born in the lap of Abu Dhabi, suckled from its illicit milk, grew up as an outcast in the streets of Nairobi and Addis Ababa, spent her childhood in London, and met her end in Kampala after living off the funds of dubious organizations and conspiratorial embassies… (Embassy of an Embassy)!
  • The failure of her leader is evident, as failure accompanied him and was his companion. His journey as both ruler and opposition did not earn him thanks (with the famous phrase) even from those who cheered for him and followed him during both periods.
  • The principle of (mention the virtues of your deceased) will not apply to the deceased because the non-resident departed had no virtues or commendable qualities. After living in paranoia about treason, dying stained with betrayal, and allying with the brutal militia that subjected the people of Sudan to great torment and suffering, the deceased (non-resident) continued to support them, openly siding with them, proudly backing them, and opposing the army that confronted them, until he met his Lord, unmissed. He deserved to be mourned by the people of Sudan with curses after his death, just as they had cursed him in his short life… a life filled with all types of betrayal, treason, and cowardice, devoid of any praise or virtue… he deserved to be ushered into his final resting place, accompanied and marked with the worst of curses!!
