Sudanese Prime Minister Kamel Idris pledged Friday that perpetrators of crimes committed by the RSF in Darfur will not escape justice.
Speaking at Al-Afash Camp in eastern Al-Dabba, Northern State, where hundreds of families from Al-Fashir have arrived following RSF control of the city, Idris described the atrocities in Darfur as unprecedented crimes surpassing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
According to human rights and media reports, the RSF committed crimes against Al-Fashir residents, including ethnic killings, rape, and abductions.
Idris promised that the criminals would face punishment and affirmed that the war was nearing its end with the victory of the army and the Sudanese people. He added that the state would ensure care and completion of services in displacement camps.
The government will prioritize education in Al-Afash Camp for displaced populations from Darfur and Kordofan, after providing shelter, food, safe water, and medical clinics. Prime Minister Idris instructed the Minister of Education to visit the camp immediately to arrange the establishment of schools and ensure the full provision of educational requirements.
