Attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces militia on localities near the Chadian border have resulted in the killing of 103 civilians, most of them women, children, and livestock herders, and left 88 others injured.
The Emergency Room of “Tina” and displacement camps issued an urgent appeal to local and international organizations following a dramatic deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the locality and surrounding villages in North Darfur.
In a statement, the Emergency Room revealed that eight areas are facing a real catastrophe: Qadeer, Sasa, Androu, Jir Jirah, Hajo, Mastoura, and Basso Dam. It confirmed that these areas were subjected to village burnings and widespread looting of livestock, forcing around 18,000 people to flee toward the Chadian border, where they are now living in the open under extremely dire humanitarian conditions.
The statement said civilians—particularly women and children—are living in a state of terror due to their areas being targeted by armed drones and continuous shelling.
The Emergency Room explained that drone attacks began on December 22, 2025, and continued until January 16, 2026, targeting public spaces and vital institutions, leading to a near-total collapse of basic services in the region.
According to the statement, Tina locality, already overcrowded with displaced people from other areas, is experiencing new waves of displacement—marking the third time for some families who have fled death repeatedly.
The statement accused international humanitarian actors of “deliberate silence” and neglect, which it said exacerbates civilian suffering and directly threatens lives. It called on the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to intervene immediately to monitor and prevent violations.
