The draw ceremony for the 2024 Copa America Championship, which will be held in the United States of America next summer, was held today, Friday, in Miami, with the participation of 16 teams.
The draw witnessed the exclusion of Argentina and Brazil from the qualifying rounds, and the two ancient teams will only meet in the final match.
The draw for the group stage placed the defending champion Argentina in Group A, along with Peru and Chile, whil the winner of the CONCACAF play-off between Canada and Trinidad and Tobago, the Brazilian team in Group D alongside Colombia, Paraguay and Jamaica.
The American team, in the third group, along with Uruguay, Panama, and Bolivia, and the Mexican team came in the second group, alongside Ecuador, Venezuela, and the winner of the Concacaf playoff between Honduras and Costa Rica.
