Panorama Dispeared, To Whom Does Stardom Go this Year?
Sudan Events – Magda Hassan
We bid farewell to one year, we welcome another, new, and between this and that, will we exchange congratulations and wishes, as we always do, on such occasions? May the new year ,be more generous than the previous year and more generous , giving that hopes that did not have the opportunity to come true in the past, and are still green waiting, will be fulfilled in it.
Diaspora
We will not be able this time, while we are in conflict with diaspora, to meet on one level to celebrate the passing of a year and the coming of a second, while we snatch joy from the harshness of our life reality, which is fraught with frustration. We make Eid out of nothing. From our innate tendency to rise above wounds, defeats, and brokenness.
Star of the year
It was our journalistic tradition, at a time like this; to be busy calculating what we accomplished in the past year, at various levels, what we did not accomplish, and singling out in this periodic account a special place for the star of the year, in the field of the art of singing, in particular, more than in other fields of work, achievement, and creativity. Where an artist is celebrated as artist of the year, with his artistic achievement.
Absence of panorama
We can no longer crown, as we used to, a public presenter, Walid, with new songs, or crown a creator, celebrating his achievement, the stardom of the beautiful time now, just as we will miss that colorful panorama. We will also miss the newspapers themselves, and the parties that crown him. New Year’s Eve, amid the hustle and bustle of revelers, in clubs, streets, and canals television.
Fireworks will disappear from our skies, which were occupied by various fiery beings, destined for death, not life. For sorrows, not for joys, it has nothing to do with games and their innocence, nor with holidays, their joy and pleasures.
Destinies
The arts left Madani in a hurry, even though they were in shelters, and the forums went to sleep early, suspending their activities due to the curfew and security conditions. We will miss Wad Al-Lamin, this is how fate decided: neither he sings, nor do we!
Mohammad Mirghani, the last of the deceased, has disappeared, just as other creators have disappeared, leaving a huge void in the art world and a heavy sadness deep in the hearts of millions.
