Nigeria Selects Final Squad for the African Nations

Nigeria national team coach Jose Peseiro revealed the final squad that will participate in the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast between January 13 and February 11.
The Portuguese coach invited 25 players, including 7 strikers, led by Victor Osimhen (Napoli, Italy), Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan, Italy), Victor Boniface (Leverkusen, Germany), Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England), and Moussa Simon (Nantes, France).
The Green Eagles team is playing in Group A, which includes Ivory Coast, the country organizing the tournament, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau.
Osimhen’s teammates are looking to win the continental title for the fourth time, and the last time the Nigerian team lifted the continental cup was in 2013 in South Africa after defeating Burkina Faso in the final with a clean goal.
