War Crimes Investigation Committee Refers Prominent Leaders of Rapid Support Militia to Judiciary

The Committee to Investigate War Crimes and Violations by the Rapid Support Militia said in press statements on Tuesday that it is conducting investigations into the seizure of 53 kilograms of methamphetamine (ice) at the Rapid Support headquarters in the Port Sudan sector.
The committee added that a number of 6 containers containing “toxic cyanide,” which is used in explosives, were seized in containers belonging to the Al-Junaid Company, affiliated with the Rapid Support Militia. Reports were filed against it on charges of (polluting water resources and the environment). Investigations were completed and it was referred to the judiciary.
The investigation committee indicated that investigations had also been completed in the complaints of the accused, including prominent leaders of the rebel Rapid Support militia, who will be referred to the judiciary. The committee recorded reports against them that included crimes against humanity, war crimes, and ethnic genocide in West Darfur state.
