Love of Sudan.. Issues ,Personalities, and Readings about Patriotism
Sudan fell into the memory of Muawiyah Yasin
Mohamed Sheikh Hussein
When adventure is at the heart of life, this is what distinguishes the able journalist and skilled researcher Muawiyah Hassan Yassen, which is that he always puts you in the heart of the adventure. This is a quality worthy of those early journalistic ancestors, even though most of them did not write a single book, so the adventure remained unknown, but its impact was always felt through the nights of stories, and here we must have mercy on the souls of evacuated professors to whom credit is due for the success we have achieved in the world of journalism. They are led by one of the leaders of the first strike of students at Gordon Qili College, Ahmed Omar, and the master of opinion and understanding, Fadlallah Mohamed. Among these departed people are: Tawfiq Saleh Jawish, Sheikh Idris Barakat, Mahmoud Babakir Jaafar, Mohamed Saleh Yaqoub, and I cannot miss Mahmoud Idris Mukhtar.
The impact extends to venerable professors who preceded us in the profession. We ask God to grant them good health and well-being, and foremost among them: the descendant of Al-Maryumab Talha Al-Shafi’i, the descendant of the exceptional genius Imam Abd al-Rahman al-Mahdi, Dr. Zainab Abd al-Rahman Azraq, and I will not forget (Bit Omdurman al-Qayyafah) Sona or Buthaina Abd al-Rahman Hassan.
The occasion of this introduction to these venerable professors is that the distinguished professional performance of Professor Muawiya Hassan Yassen belongs to that school, and his professional performance was the subject of their praise and appreciation, and I personally encountered that praise by reading the pages of the Al-Sahafa newspaper archive during that period from 1977 to 1980.
The origin of the story
As for the origin of the story, Professor Muawiyah Yassin chose examples from his journalistic experience, represented by issues, characters, and readings about patriotism, and he wrote them down in a new book recently published entitled (In the Passion of Sudan).
A 464-page medium-sized book published by Madarat Printing and Publishing House.
The title of the book comes from three words (in the love of Sudan) and the preposition “fi” in the Arabic language is useful to the college, despite the fact that the book is an individual effort equivalent to the effort of an institution, serving modern journalism and connecting it to the experience of freedom in shaping awareness, a freedom that characterizes the Sudanese reality and emerging from the unique freedom clause in The cultural composition of the country that is still new.
Muawiyah Yassin is a distinguished penman, as a distinguished journalist and skilled researcher, but his greatest fame came from his monitoring of the life of singing and singing in Sudan a long time ago (before people knew people). He wrote four volumes of this extensive biography, which contains stories inside and outside Sudan that are closer to legends. The first two.
In his book (The Passion of Sudan), with its five chapters, Muawiyah takes you beyond the limits of those days. His scent spreads through the streets, alleys, and courtyards, and penetrates the windows to the farthest rooms. It transports you like the Nile River, calm once, then loud and roaring. In both cases, it carries fertility and growth, but it soon overflows and sweeps away the villages and cities.
multiple options
When the night breezes blow between the pages of the book, it makes many choices, and it embraces the stranger intimately until it melts him into it. Muawiyah’s love for the night, its breezes, and its times is sometimes seen as excessive narcissism, or an attempt to subjugate these waves in order to make him more wild and rebellious.
(The Passion of Sudan) is a new writing experience that delves into a sea of shipwrecked and surviving ships, perhaps hinting at the farewell handkerchiefs and the waving of hands of those who departed without returning. Even if Sudan’s memory was aging, Muawiyah would not have chosen it as his memory.
When (The Passion of Sudan) Muawiyah sits you down, to read 463 pages of medium-sized pieces, you will not feel that time has passed or that it was fleeting. We watch in a memory that expands before every narrowness, without setting boundaries, so the chest explains this air that is loaded with honesty and the innocence of the experience and its bitterness as well. We unite with it. Let our dreams be unlimited, and let us say that the other is part of our being.
Structure of the book
The structure of the book (The Passion of Sudan) falls within the context of opening oneself to its history. Perhaps this investigative book by the researcher in the field of heritage, music, and other affairs and concerns of the lives of the people of Sudan, Muawiya Hassan Yassan, embodies this scientific tendency in research and her desire to establish another awareness of the oral, visual, and cultural arts in general. Perhaps the author’s openness to cultural centers and their manuscripts is considered an appreciation of a new reality that we expect to spread throughout all of our research and writings because of the general benefit it brings to research and reading.
Professor Sanaa Abu Qusaysa, owner of Madarat House, which published the book, classifies the book within the framework of the idea of Bookzaine, which is one of the latest methods of publishing that combines the book and the magazine.
As for the writer of the introduction, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sadiq, owner of the most famous book review radio program on Omdurman Radio (Out of Place), he borrowed for himself the description of Haj Al-Mahi (Al-Walid Al-Zawail Al-Hin). Description of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sadiq wrote the book with (it is confident writing with a Sudanese taste and taste that reveals while revealing Muawiyah’s limitless curiosity for everything related to Sudanese affairs).
The writer of the second introduction to the book, Dr. Hajj Salem Mustafa, professor of library sciences, establishes in the mind of the reader that the author, Muawiyah, was not limited to merely writing and describing, but rather that he worked diligently and researched, spent time and money, and struck the wings of planes to the ends of the world, searching or verifying information from its locations, and about Its novelty and originality).
