Burhan leaves for Ethiopia for a meeting with Abiye Ahmed

President of the Sovereign Council, lieutenant General Abdul Fatah Al Burhan, left Khartoum early morning Wednesday heading for Ethiopia in an official visit to Ethiopia for a meeting with Prime Minister Abiye Ahmed.
The bilateral talks are expected to center on boosting bilateral relations between the two countries and the development of the situation in the Sudan as well as issues related to regional development, security and peace, as well as issues of mutual interest.
Burhan is leading a high powered delegation including the acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, ambassador Ali Al Sadiq, the Governor of Darfur Region, Mini Arko Minawi and the Director General of the national intelligence lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufadal
Burhan has recently initiated a regional tour during which he visited a number of Arab and African neighbouring countries to explain to the leaders of these states the most recent developments in the Sudan and the ongoing war in the country since April 2023.
