Erdoğan: Israel to be Held Accountable for War Crimes

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres ahead of tomorrow’s United Nations Security Council meeting, which will focus on the Gaza issue. Erdoğan stressed the importance of holding Israel accountable for its actions that blatantly disregard international law, as well as the laws of war and humanitarian law.
President Erdoğan and Secretary-General Guterres discussed the upcoming United Nations Security Council meeting focused on Gaza in a phone call, according to a statement released by the presidential sources.
During the conversation, the global community’s expectations regarding Israel’s lawless assaults, potential solutions for the humanitarian crisis, and endeavours towards sustainable peace were all brought up.
Erdoğan emphasized the need for Israel to be held accountable for its actions that blatantly disregard international law, the laws of war, and humanitarian law.
“The crimes committed must not go unpunished in the eyes of the international community,” the Turkish leader pointed out.
