Egyptian children’s song gets a billion views

Maryam Al-Karmi said about the scenes of the most famous song in the children’s world to Al-Arabiya: “I was asked to present a song that would make the child cautious, meaning he would not trust anyone easily… so the idea suddenly came to me and I wrote it on the spot. I actually love squirrels in particular, so this song is theirs to be its heroes.”
“I never expected the song’s great success, and all the people of the village are happy with my success and the success of my song, they encourage me and stand by me frankly.” Maryam adds.
“I am like any mother who is busy with housework, cleaning, teachong the kids and cooking, but I do not leave my notebook and pen at any time when they are by my side,” She added. “Even when I am baking and kneading, my notebook is next to me just in case an idea suddenly comes in my head.” She continued.
