Omar Ashari, director of the Ratina Forum, supervisor of the charity concert, which was performed by the artist singer Mazen Hamed to support the central kitchens in Khartoum, said that the revenues from the concert amounted to more than (30) thousand US dollars, all of which go to support the central kitchens in Sudan. Ashari presented a detailed financial report on the ceremony, “Upon the principle of transparency in public work, and out of respect for everyone, we publish to you the report of Mazen Hamed’s party, which was held by Ratina for the benefit of the central kitchens through the Hadrin organization.” He said.
“The proceeds from the concert amounted to more than 30 thousand dollars, all of which go to support the central kitchens in Sudan.” He added.
“The direct revenues from the concert increased to $3,000 and $88, despite the high expenses for holding it… Also, the good reputation of the attendees and the crowd around it made its ambassadorial campaign for concert tickets enable us to collect $12,000, which are tickets paid for by people who did not attend the concert or by their direct donations to the accounts of attendees around the world coincided with the concert campaign, and thus tickets purchased without attendance were twice as large as those who attended. SABA (the Sudanese Doctors Association in America) also made its commitment of about 15 thousand dollars, thus doubling the concert revenues five times.” He added.
“Ratina also, through its extended communication with some of its friends, offered tickets to which a number of people it invited,” He continued. “This initiative is merely an experiment of support, and to draw attention to the complex and sad issues of our people in Sudan. Any amount, no matter its value, is able to create a difference and bridge the issue. Some of the amounts sent by donors to the account of attendees, followed by what looks like regret for their lack of value, show that the Sudanese people, despite all the challenges they face, are generous people, and some do not hesitate to reach a helping hand to fulfill the needs and responsibilities in everyone’s lives. It also draws attention to the fact that the humanitarian issues in Sudan must be everyone’s responsibility and concern, and all efforts must be combined to reduce the suffering there in Khartoum and the various states.” He said.
