SSMO is Committed to Implementing its Social Responsibility

Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organisation (SSMO) , Rahba Saeed Abdullah, sffirmed its commitment to implementing the Standards or Society program for social responsibility through awareness activities and programs and partnerships with government and private sectors to contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens affected by war and displacement through its branches in stable states.
On the other hand, the SDMO Sector in River Nile State carried out an inspection visit and provided aid to the Children Without Support Center in the state.
Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed Omar, Director of the Sector, affirmed their keenness to provide support and material, moral and psychological support to all segments of society to enhance the role of the SSMO.
In Gedaref State, the SSMO Sector continued to implement the social responsibility program in cooperation with Unilever Adiyat Company and the Ahl Al-Ataa Initiative.
Dr. Mishaer Khalil Idris, Director of the Sector, revealed the distribution of detergents, sanitary tools and mattresses to 200 families in shelters in Gedaref Municipality, in conjunction with the SSMO restaurant to provide meals to the displaced.
In the Northern State sector, the SSMO presented, as part of its social responsibility, the Specifications Irrigation Project in Wadi Halfa, and the SSMO Program knocked on every door through the sponsorship of the Friends of SSMO and Consumer Protection Associations in schools. Abdul Azim Ismail, Director of the Specifications Sector in the Northern State, said that the Authority continues its oversight efforts and enhances its role in society.
In Kassala State, the Authority completed its preparations to launch the Educational Specifications Initiative in mid-August, and Nahla Mohamed Abdullah, Director of the Kassala Branch, said that the initiative aims to continue educating children affected by war and displacement.
Meanwhile, Al-Tijani Bashir Taha, Director of the Specifications Sector in the Red Sea State, renewed the Authority’s interest in supporting those affected by war through the Social Responsibility Program and supporting partners from the media and creatives to educate consumers.
