11 People Killed in Militia Shelling on Al-Fashir

At least 11 civilians were killed and others injured on Sunday due to new artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the livestock market in Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur.
Eyewitnesses told “Darfur24” that the livestock market and surrounding southern neighborhoods were hit by artillery from the Rapid Support Forces, resulting in civilian casualties and the destruction of several homes and shops in the market.
Ismail Idris, a public vehicle driver at the livestock market, stated that the shelling claimed the lives of 11 people, including 10 individuals in a single location, with others injured.
Medical sources at the military hospital confirmed that dozens of dead and injured civilians were brought to the hospital today.
These medical sources noted that the hospital has witnessed unprecedented overcrowding over the past three days due to renewed fighting between the warring factions in the city since the end of last week.
