Hamilton: Driving a Ferrari car is one of the best moments of my life

British driver Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 champion, appeared extremely happy to begin his adventure with his new team, Ferrari, which he joined this year after leaving Mercedes.
According to the German news agency, Hamilton stated in a statement issued by Ferrari: “I have been very fortunate to experience many firsts in my career, such as my first test, my first race, my first podium finish, winning my first title, and my first championship.”
He added: “So I wasn’t sure how many first experiences I would live through again, but driving a Ferrari car for the first time this morning was one of the best moments I’ve had in my life.”
He continued: “When I started the car and moved it through the garage door, a big smile appeared on my face, and I remembered the first time I tested a Formula car. It was an exciting moment, and I relived it again after almost 20 years.”
Hamilton’s perfect week with Ferrari continued on Wednesday, as he completed his first laps as a driver for the team competing in the Formula 1 World Championship.
Photos were taken of the seven-time world champion driving the car on Ferrari’s Fiorano track, which is located just steps away from the team’s headquarters in Maranello, Italy.
Hamilton left Mercedes, with whom he won six of his seven titles, to join Ferrari. His first week included meetings with club officials, introductions to staff, factory tours, and more.
The driver also posted a picture on social media platform X showing his first helmet for Ferrari in yellow with the team’s logo.
At Ferrari, Hamilton will reunite with his former trainer Angela Cullen, who had worked with him before the 2016 season but parted ways with him in 2023.
According to reports, Cullen joined Hamilton’s company, “Project 44,” which was created to support him in his new era with Ferrari and other business ventures, as a physiotherapy specialist for the team.
