Arrival of Transformer Oil Shipment to Wad Medani

The Director-General of Sudanese Electricity Holding Company, Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed, announced the arrival of the first shipment of transformer oils to Wad Medani.
Abdullah stated that work in Medani is progressing rapidly to restore electricity. “Since the first day of liberation, committees were formed to assess the damage to the electricity network. The damage was extensive, with 95% of transformers damaged due to the theft of oils or copper coils, in addition to the theft of cables and copper parts at the stations, and the damage to overhead lines and poles.”
He mentioned that engineers, technicians, and workers immediately began working on rehabilitation. The first shipment of transformer oils was delivered to Medani to rehabilitate the stations and supply power to strategic lines, while continuing the rehabilitation of other lines until power is restored to all areas.
