Havertz Could Miss the Rest of the Season Due to Injury in Dubai

British media reported on Wednesday that Arsenal forward Kai Havertz could be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a tear in his hamstring muscles during training in a devastating blow for the team.
The Athletic website stated that Havertz will undergo a full assessment following his injury during a training camp in Dubai, although it is still unclear whether the German forward will need surgery.
Reuters contacted Arsenal for a comment.
Havertz (25 years old) is currently the top scorer for Arsenal this season, with 15 goals in all competitions.
He joins a long list of injured forwards, including Gabriel Jesus (anterior cruciate ligament), Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli (both with hamstring injuries).
Saka underwent surgery in late December and is expected to be out until March, although the English forward traveled with the team to the training camp.
Meanwhile, Martinelli was injured in the first half of last week’s League Cup semifinal loss to Newcastle United and is expected to be sidelined for more than a month. With these injuries, manager Mikel Arteta has limited attacking options, relying on Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling (on loan from Chelsea), and academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri.
The injuries to Martinelli and Havertz come less than two weeks after the closure of the January transfer window, during which Arsenal chose to rely on their current squad without any new signings. Despite exiting both domestic cup competitions, Arsenal is in second place in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Liverpool, and has reached the Round of 16 in the Champions League. Arsenal will face Leicester City in the league on Saturday.
