King Salman Humanitarian Center Provides 10,000 Food Baskets for Returnees in Al-Jazira State

The Governor of Al-Jazira State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, along with the Secretary-General of the State Government, Murtada Al-Baili, the Director-General of Al-Ishraq Organization for Development and Reconstruction, Adam Ali Hamid, the Minister of Social Welfare and Finance, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Asaad Al-Sir, and the Chairman of the Support Committee, Abdel Moneim Abu Darira, launched on Wednesday a humanitarian aid convoy provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. The convoy consists of 10,000 food baskets as a first phase within the third phase of the food security project.

The Governor of Al-Jazira expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center on behalf of the people of the state, adding that this assistance will support the returnees in the region.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Al-Ishraq Organization for Development and Reconstruction stated that this initial phase includes 10,000 food baskets, with plans to distribute a total of 60,000 baskets throughout the year, funded by the King Salman Center, to support those affected by the war.

He added that the aid will be distributed in an organized and fair manner to targeted beneficiaries in the localities of East and South Al-Jazira, Greater Madani, Al-Hasahisa, Rufaa, Umm Al-Qura, and Al-Kamlin.

The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in Al-Jazira welcomed the convoy from the King Salman Center, emphasizing its role in alleviating living burdens and supporting those affected by the war. He also expressed his gratitude to Al-Ishraq Organization and everyone who contributed to delivering this humanitarian aid to the people of Al-Jazira State.
