The minister said the next phase will rely on international partnerships and private-sector participation to meet post-war reconstruction requirements.

The plan also includes support for the national carrier, Sudan Airways (Sudanair), through the addition of three modern aircraft, as well as the modernization of the airports of Dongola, El Obeid, Kassala, and Merowe to enhance their international competitiveness.
Regarding domestic infrastructure, the minister explained that the plan includes upgrading the railway network and implementing a metro project in the capital, Khartoum, to ease mobility. It also предусматри the construction of new bridges to reduce traffic congestion, alongside strengthening river transport and maritime connectivity with Egypt through the Nile Valley River Navigation Authority.
He further announced plans to develop Red Sea ports and establish new specialized ports, in addition to efforts to revive the national maritime carrier through strategic partnerships.
The minister noted that Sudan is preparing to receive a Turkish delegation later this February to discuss cooperation in the ports and railway sectors.
