The Governor of the Darfur Region and Political Secretary of the “Democratic Bloc,” Minni Arko Minnawi, announced the approval and adoption of the bloc’s charter as a decisive step toward rebuilding the national project on firm, uncompromising foundations.
Minnawi stated: “We affirm to our people that the wheel of change is moving forward and will not stop, and that the will of the masses is stronger than any attempts at obstruction or circumvention.”
He added that this decision did not come out of nowhere but is the result of frank and responsible discussions that placed the national interest above all else, laying the groundwork for a new phase defined by full alignment with the people’s causes, ending chaos and fragmentation, and establishing genuine unity to overcome weakness and division.
“There is no room for hesitation or political courtesy,” he said. “This is a battle to build a nation—either we stand united in the face of challenges or we leave the door open for chaos to consume what remains of our state.”
He explained that adopting the charter marks the beginning of a decisive phase—one of action, not words, and of construction, not waiting.
“We will move forward steadily toward restoring the state, enforcing the authority of institutions, and achieving our people’s aspirations for freedom, peace, and justice, regardless of the sacrifices,” he added.
He concluded by renewing his call to all active national forces and the resilient Sudanese people to rally behind this project and support the path of real change, stressing that the nation can only be built through the efforts and genuine will of its people.
