And
the International Committee of Selection and Quality returns back followed touring the country’s splendid cities, brings the results and good tidings of national participation in the international competition
My dream is that the days are not far away.
We will return to receiving delegations and walking next to the Nile River, celebrating the people of culture.
I collect photos of the most beautiful ones and show them in my upcoming days, close to my return home.
Compulsory Absence
Ali Mahdi has been celebrating the Buqaa International Theater Festival in all its last rounds and considers it an important achievement.
He is knocking on all doors to continue it and not miss a copy of it.
However, the unstable conditions of the country made March 2021 his last light in the theater and Mahdi began last year preparations for the resumption of the sessions, but The signs of war prevented it from taking place, but the dates and memories of two decades make the determination to continue stronger: The nights of the Blessed Spot will return, and we will draw possible performances on all real, non-virtual walls. Yes, yes, even if time is long, and it will not be long.

Its opening constitutes the wedding night of the theater through the performance of traditional musical bands and the large attendance that fills the sides of the theater.
On this day, watching the participating performances continues, and the selection and international quality committee searches in the cities for national performances to sit in the international competition with foreign performances.

* Spotlight
The Buqaa Festival formed a window of light in the Sudanese theatre. Throughout its 21 year period, it continued to present its performances regularly with the participation of local and foreign troupes that presented hundreds of performances.
The theatrical activity continued to be accompanied by other activities, as the festival continued to discover stars in various fields of creativity and an arena for operating and employing creative energies.
During the festival sessions, a number of books on theatrical matters were produced, which formed an addition to the Sudanese library.
During which theatrical writing and directing skills were demonstrated
And acting alongside the creative people behind the scenes who stand
Behind the arts, fashion, sound and light, this is in addition to the criticism and research sessions, the participation of scientific institutions, the intellectual forum, periodical publications, and finally the awards, that constituted a great move for those who won them, including actors, directors, writers, and others. Thus, Buqaa Festival remains a spot of light in the darkness and will remain present despite the compulsory absence. .
