Head of Saudi Youth reveals the failure to contract with Mourinho

Mohammed Al-Munajim, head of Saudi Youth, revealed that former Roma coach Jose Mourinho agreed to the idea of training the team, but the idea did not materialize.
Many reports recently confirmed that Al-Shabab Club entered into negotiations to sign a contract with Mourinho to succeed sacked coach Igor Pescan after the Croatian coach failed to change the course of the team since he took over the job.
“We entered into negotiations with Mourinho, and made him a financial offer, and the coach agreed to the idea of training the team in principle.” Al-Munajem said, in statements to the SSC channel.
“After we obtained Mourinho’s approval, the Financial Sustainability Committee refused to contract with the Portuguese coach due to the lack of a sufficient budget.” He added.
“We did not speak with the officials of the recruitment committee, because contracting with coaches is outside the committee’s jurisdiction.” The youth president continued.
