Aftermath of Militia Drone Attack: Chadian Officials Arrive in Tina, Enforce Strict Measures

Three senior military officials arrived from the capital, N’Djamena, to the border area of Tina, according to local sources speaking to Ultra Sudan.

The development follows a statement by Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby, who pledged to defend citizens across the country after a militia drone attack killed 17 Chadians and injured 40 others.

A local source in Tina said that Chad’s Minister of Defense, the military corps commander, and the Minister of Security arrived in the city on Thursday, stressing the need to remove armed presence from the area.

“They aim to clear the area of any weapons,” the source said, noting concerns over incursions by parties to the Sudanese conflict into Chadian territory, prompting calls for strict measures.
