Army Shoots Down Four Drones in Al-Jazirah State

A military source said the Sudanese Armed Forces intercepted four attack drones on Sunday as they attempted to target the city of Wad Madani in Al-Jazirah State.

According to Ultra Sudan, the source added that ground-based air defenses shot down the drones over the Umm Alilaila area, east of Wad Madani. The attack was reportedly intended to strike fuel depots in Umm Alilaila, but air defenses engaged the drones and brought them down before they could achieve their objectives.

Eyewitnesses told Ultra Sudan that they heard the sound of ground-based air defenses belonging to the First Infantry Division in Wad Madani engaging the suicide drones over the city in the early hours of Sunday.

The latest attempt comes about a month after a similar attack. In late September, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted the Umm Alilaila fuel depots east of Wad Madani with a drone.
