Egyptian Actor Abdel Ghafour Passed Away

Egyptian actor Ashraf Abdul Ghafour passed away at the age of 81, on the afternoon of Sunday, December 3rd, following a car accident that occurred on the desert road between the cities of Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt.
Acting Professions Syndicate announced his death, and mourned its former president through the official Facebook page, writing: The Acting Professions Syndicate mourns with great sadness and sorrow. The death of the distinguished actor Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, the former head of the acting professions union; Who died on Sunday.
The Egyptian actor and his wife were transferred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in 6th of October City, east of Cairo, in an attempt to survive him, but they failed as a result of cardiac arrest, while his wife is still receiving treatment in the hospital.
Ashraf Abdul Ghafour was born in 1942, and began artistic work in the 1960s through the theatrical show “Gulfdan Hanem.” Ashraf held the position of captain of the Actors Syndicate for 3 years, from 2012 to 2015.
