Sudan Events – Nahed Oshi
The Federal Ministry of Health has received medical supplies from Indonesia, consisting of 7,000 dialysis, anesthesia, and kidney transplant medications.
The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohammad Ibrahim received the shipment today at Port Sudan, in the presence of the Indonesian ambassador to the Sudan and the Medical Supplies Department (Grants and Donations).
The pharmaceutical supply provided by Indonesia will be distributed to patients directly.
The minister has pointed out that these supplies will contribute to filling the shortage, especially anesthesia medicines, praising the coordination between the Ministry of Health and Indonesia and the Sudanese embassy to Indonesia and Egypt through the pharmaceutical committee called (according to the priorities and needs of Sudan) in providing this medicine supply.
He expressed his hope that coordination between the Ministry of Health and Indonesia would continue during the coming period, especially the phase of rebuilding health systems in Sudan.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan, Sunarko , explained that the medical support comes within the framework of fraternal relations between the two countries, expressing his hope that it would contribute to alleviating the suffering of Sudanese citizens, hoping for an improvement in the situation in Sudan, and praising the coordination with the Ministry of Health to deliver the medical support.
