IGAD: Sudanese Critical Meeting, Next Week

Djibouti government, the current IGAD chair, has revealed that Djibouti will host next week a critical meeting on the Sudanese war crisis.
last Thursday a meeting that was scheduled to bring in a direct meeting the commander of the Sudanese ‘armed forces along with the leader of the militias Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo was postponed. The meeting was proposed by the IGAD.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Djibouti, Mahmoud Youssef has posted a statement on his account in X platform that next week, as chair of IGAD Djibouti will also prepare the ground for Sudanese dialogue and will host a critical meeting.
The war between the army and the RSF militia has entered its ninth month without the various initiatives being able to achieve a breakthrough or an agreement on ceasefire.
