Sudan Receives Qatari Humanitarian Assistance

The State of Qatar has dispatched new shipments of humanitarian assistance to Kasala, the Northern, and the Red Sea states as part of a project aimed at providing (50,000) food baskets to war-affected and displaced families in Sudan, with funding from the Qatar Fund for Development.
Qatari Ambassador to the Sudan, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sada, has affirmed that the State of Qatar will continue its humanitarian efforts aimed at helping the Sudanese people affected by the war, pointing to a package of Qatari aid to affected families on more than one level, praising the ongoing relief interventions by the Qatar Charity since the beginning of the war. He underlined that Qatari support for the Sudanese people will continue during the next phase.
The Federal Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Dr. Salah Al-Mubarak has meanwhile expressed the appreciation of the Government of Sudan for the continued response from the State of Qatar, and from Qatar Charity to help those affected by the war in the various states of Sudan. He explained that today’s shipment of (8,000) food baskets to the displaced and affected people is of great importance, given that it has come following the displacement caused by the regel incursion agains Wad Medani and the increasing need for food aid for affected families.
The Commissioner explained that successive Qatari aid has played a major role in alleviating the suffering of those affected.
He noted the air bridge that the State of Qatar conducted through its various associations to provide urgent food and medical aid, which was met with great appreciation by the government and people of Sudan, for Qatari Emir, the government and the people for their support for Sudan in all the difficult circumstances .
