Saudi Arabia: We Refuse to Use our Lands for any Activity Threatening Sudan

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Saudi ambassador to Sudan, Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar, has renewed his country’s support for legitimacy in Sudan and its keenness to preserve its sovereignty and unity and stand against everything that threatens its security.
When he met with Ambassador Omar Issa, Director General of Arab and Asian Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Saturday, he affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s refusal to use its lands in any activity that threatens Sudan or any other sister country, or to insult the Sudanese leadership or any official official.
Regarding the video that appeared on social media of members of the Rapid Support militia (RSF) in the Dhahran region in southern Saudi Arabia, the Saudi ambassador said that this video dates back to a period of four months, following a basic training course received by soldiers participating in the coalition forces, and does not include training in artillery, drones, or medical work. He stated that the relevant authorities investigated who filmed and broadcast the video, and that he learned that the person who broadcast the video had been detained. He promised to consult with the competent authorities in the Kingdom to address the matter.
He expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s appreciation to the Sudanese leadership and people for standing with the Kingdom against everything that threatens its security, stability and safety.
