People in Khartoum have noticed flows of food commodities, in addition to a quantity of looted materials coming from Gezira State, which were displayed in the “Goro” and “Daglo” markets in Khartoum.
A Khartoum inhabitant told Radio Dabanga that there are foodstuffs such as sugar, flour, cooking oils, and other items brought to the markets by members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and they are sold at the lowest prices. He explained that these markets are still receiving quantities of goods coming from the Gezira State, and added that these markets are witnessing a large demand from citizens due to the cheap prices of the goods offered.
It is noteworthy that the Gezira State, particularly the city of Wad Medani and some adjacent areas, were the scene of widespread looting and plundering after the RSF Support militia incursion.
